Phyllis’s Brown Soda Bread has been awarded the title of Best Brown Bread in Ireland having beaten 400 contestants throughout Ireland. The judges rated the winning bread on excellent taste, texture and appearance.

Feel like you are right at home

TJ and his wife run a wonderful B&B. Gracious and warm hosts for rooms in their quiet and comfortable home. From the first moment you meet them you feel like you are truly welcome in their house. There is no stuffiness or business attitude towards the guests at all. In fact, this was the only B&B at which we stayed that introduced us to the family dogs and cats in their welcome booklet. Even taking their dog for a walk is encouraged for those pet lovers among us. We had a very nice room with bath, with a sunny view of the house garden. The breakfast was delicious and was accompanied by the friendly company of the owners as well as some of the other travellers staying here.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ashleigh B&B.

Phyllis is such a kind person, making us feel right at home! The rooms were clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! We returned home early one evening and enjoyed Happy Hour in their beautiful backyard...very peaceful and relaxing. An easy drive into Waterford to see the sites, and a pub right across the street made things so convenient. Thank you Phyllis!

Phyllis & her husband were delightful, friendly & welcoming. Excellent accommodations & excellent breakfast! Our evening meal was at an establishment across the street so great location too! I would definitely stay there again & recommend it to anyone!

This was our second visit at Ashleigh House.

Phyllis is warm and welcoming. Our room was lovely and roomy for a four night stay. Phyllis breakfasts are delicious and her award winning Irish bread is fabulous. Ashleigh house is situated not far from Waterford City. Many things to do and Phyllis has plenty of suggestions for site seeing. Clean, dependable and a gracious hostess, a perfect B&B at a great value.

Everything one could want in a B&B...

Comfortable room, great breakfast, wonderful hosts and a great location. Pub across the street was one of the best meals of our trip. The garden and pet “hosts” were icing on the cake! Look forward to visiting again!
